Minister’s Message
UUG welcomed our new minister, Rev. Christian Schmidt in September 2025
Message from Rev. Christian Schmidt:
The UUs of Gettysburg are a vibrant, supportive community of people working to do good in the world and help one another grow into the best people we can be. We meet weekly for worship services on Sundays and for many other gatherings and events at other times. If that sounds like something you would be interested in, we welcome you to join us any Sunday or for any of our special events. People of all ages are always welcome, and for Sunday mornings and larger events, we provide childcare for the youngest in our community.
Whoever you are, whomever you love, you are welcome in our community and invited to explore what it means to be a member of UUG and a Unitarian Universalist. As UUs, we hold and uplift our highest values of Equity, Generosity, Interdependence, Justice, Pluralism, and Transformation, centered around Love.
Our community is deeply committed to helping our community and transforming our world. Our weekly gatherings provide us inspiration and support in order to go make a difference, and we invite you to be a part of that.
UUG is a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association. You can learn more at www.uua.org.
In faith,
Rev. Christian
