In the fall of 2021, as refugees tried desperately to get into the United States after our armed forces withdrew from Afghanistan, UUG joined other churches to form the Refugee Resettlement Partnership of Gettysburg (RRP). 

A small core of volunteers from partnership churches, including several UUG members who ask to remain anonymous, now works closely with two families to help them make new lives here.

The partnership is entirely volunteer-driven, with no paid staff. As of 2025, donations and disbursements are handled by the Gettysburg Area Ministerium. You can donate to the Partnership by using the Donate button at the top of our website, or reach out to our Partnership contact.
